Steven Lee Moya is an independent DJ and music consultant with just shy of 20 years of experience in the DJ and event production industry. Known for his deeply curated, genre-blending sound, Steven creates thoughtful musical environments tailored to the character of each event, venue, and audience. His work spans corporate, private, hospitality, cultural, and destination events across the U.S. and internationally.
As an independent, self-directed artist, Steven has built a reputation as a trusted creative collaborator for event producers, hospitality groups, corporate teams, and high-profile productions. His expertise extends beyond DJ performance into music programming and consultation, allowing him to shape the sonic identity of an experience from the first track to the last.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, Steven has become a longstanding contributor to the city’s cultural and hospitality landscape while maintaining a strong presence in Austin and throughout the Texas hospitality community. His collaborations include Hotel Emma, Canopy by Hilton, Kimpton Santo Hotel, the Historic Pearl District, as well as Austin-based hospitality groups MML Hospitality, Bunkhouse Hotels, and New Waterloo. His work extends throughout Texas and beyond, with a continued commitment to bringing thoughtful music curation and distinctive programming to the places and communities he serves.
Steven is also the creator and curator of Other Directions, a monthly iTunes podcast and Spotify playlist launched in 2011. The series explores new music from independent artists and labels around the world and has fostered lasting relationships throughout the global music community.
